At the beginning of the new school year (10th grade) I heard a lot about exchange students. I always wanted to know more about other countries or cultures and I wanted to do something different. So my wish to go grew more and more. I talked about exchange programs with my parents and they liked my wish. So we began early to find more information at school information days or family friends. We found out that there are a lot of companies, which do exchange programs. It was all really exciting and after a little bit it was sure that I'll go to another country for a whole school year.
